Windlesham is a charming Surrey village home to a golf course, gastro pubs and county walks

Windlesham is a pretty village in the Surrey Heath borough of Surrey.

Located west of the county, it is a quiet and peaceful spot with its neighbouring villages being Bagshot and Lightwater.

Sitting in between Chobham Common and Swinley Forest, it’s on the doorstep to some fantastic walking and cycling routes.

Plus, you wouldn’t realise it, but it’s in easy access to junction 3 of the M3.

The village is known to locals as the home of the Boxing Day pram race and also a location for cosy pubs including The Half Moon, The Brickmakers, The Sun Inn, The Surrey Cricketers and The Bee.

Here you’ll be able to tuck into home comforts including roast dinner on a Sunday.

You’ll also find a few schools, a church, theatre, tennis courts, cricket club and The Fieldhouse Café, popular with families and walkers.

It’s a lovely place to bring up children and there is a real community spirit, especially at Christmas time.

Golfers are in their element there as not only does Windlesham have its own golf course, but it is close by to Sunningdale Golf Club, Wentworth and Pine Ridge.
