The Linksnet Network Day season continued in glorious fashion this month with another fine day at the picturesque West Surrey Golf Club.
With its stunning clubhouse, friendly welcome and well-conditioned course, Surrey’s hidden gem was the perfect host as the race for the Network Day Order of Merit started to take shape.
It really does look like an exciting competition this year, with so many new names competing both on the days themselves and the online leaderboards as the season gets fully underway – with both a route to the end of season final at Prince’s Golf Club in Kent and the big prize of a five-night trip for two people to Costa Navarino Golf Resort in Greece up for grabs courtesy of Golf Escapes.
Another competitive golf day brought out the best in many of the players. Ryan Davidson and new member Alec Stewart won Nearest the Pin and Nearest the Pin in two respectively. Both took home bottles of Hayman’s Gin or Merser Rum as well as Titleist caps for their efforts.
In the Individual Stableford, there was a terrific performance from Leon Loberman who shot 39 points to finish third and win a Skechers shoe voucher. The runner up was Dean Tebbutt who shot a superb 40 points to win the £250 Stewart Golf voucher, but hats off to new Linksnet member Tom Moore who, with his friend Christian Hill, made the journey down from Bristol and scored an amazing 44 points to win a return to trip for four to West Surrey.
Next stop on the schedule is Coxmoor and Worksop in the Midlands, and there are plenty more days to choose from throughout the Summer and Autumn including a fantastic 3 day trip to Rosepenna on the West Coast of Ireland. With four different levels of membership to suit everyone, offering various discounts off days, free golf gear and other benefits, there’s a lot to get excited about with Linksnet Golf.
