Golfers in Gedney Hill didn’t let the pandemic get in their way of fundraising for an important cause.
Terry Grantham’s 11th annual golf tournament at Gedney Hill Golf Club saw more than 60 golfers take part in the event, which was slightly different from normal due to COVID-19, to raise funds for St Barnabas Hospice.
Mr Grantham was very pleased with how the day turned out.
He said: “It was a great day and it worked better than I could have thought,
“I would like to thank everyone who came and the Tulip Queen, Albany Garden Services, Moulton Butchers, Graytones Printers and Spalding News.
“I’d also like to thank Charles Britton for giving us the course for free and Kerr Page for his help.”
The tournament was won by David Lord, with 45 points and runner up was Andrea Stockton with 44 points.
Thanks to the golfers and donations, £1,154 was raised.
