Richards dominates inaugural South Open Golf Tournament


Chris Richards Snr carded two under-par rounds to win the three-day South Open golf tournament at Pointe-a-Pierr Golf Course on the weekend.

The reigning T&T Open champion carded 69 and 68, on the last two days of the tournament to win by an amazing 27 shots.

His son, Chris Richards Jr, beat his friend and training partner Jean-Mark Chevrotiere by three shots in the Championship Flight.

Pointe-a-Pierre teenager Ayden Ali finishing in third place.

Ye Ji Lee won the women’s championships by seven shots over Brechin Castle Open champion Jada Charles.

Ramsingh Boodsingh won the 1st Flight and the Super Seniors titles, while Mahindra Rajkumar took the Seniors title.

Ernest DeGannes strolled to a six-shot win in the 2nd Flight.
