NCG form expert Barry Plummer assesses the field ahead of the Travelers Championship…
As we recuperate after a thrilling final round at the US Open, we have plenty of great golf to look forward to including the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands. With a relatively strong field for a tournament following a major championship, I have picked out three players who I fancy to get the job done.

Travelers Championship betting tips
Bazza’s Banker: Daniel Berger @ X/1 with Bet365
This type of track will be right up Berger’s alley, with consistently strong approach play his specialism. Berger already has a runner-up finish here in 2017, and as he arrives off the back of a T7 finish at the US Open he is obviously in great shape to better that. The 28-year-old has been great this season, winning at Pebble Beach and finish third at the Byron Nelson, so it would be no surprise to see him produce another strong effort here. The icing on the cake for this selection is that he ranks 8th for SG: Approach in the last three months. Berger screams value here.
The outsider: Brian Harman @ X/1 with Bet365
Harman is another player with great TPC River Highlands form, having finished in the top-10 three times in his last six visits. His recent form is also strong, with eight top-20 finishes in 2021, half of which were top 10. The two-time PGA Tour winner has the stats to suit this course, ranking 3rd for SG: Around-the-Green and 9th for SG: Putting in the last three months. His accuracy off the tee and improving approach play make him an interesting contender at this price.
The long shot: Kevin Streelman @ X/1 with Bet365
Streelman can perhaps feel slightly unlucky not to have won this event last year, just running into a resurgent Dustin Johnson on his way to victory. Still, after a recent run of solid form, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him give this another good go this week. Streelman has a handful of top-20 finishes this year and has won this event before back in 2014. At a big price, there’s a lot to like about his chances.
