Marbella’s Costa Del Sol Hospital Has The Prestige Of Being Voted Among Top 100 In Spain

Newsweek magazine has listed Marbella’s Costa Del Sol Hospital as being among the Top 100 in the world, in their ‘World’s Best Hospitals’ feature, and also listed it as in the ten best-scored health facilities in Andalucía in 2020.

This list was compiled in conjunction with German world data research firm Statista, who took data from 25 countries worldwide, including America, Canada, and Germany, highlighting the hospital “for its constant excellence, including distinguished physicians, first-rate nursing care and cutting-edge technology”.

The magazine said it chooses the countries based on life expectancy, populations size, the standard of living, and data availability, conducting extensive analysis based on recommendations made by medical experts, hospital directors, health professionals, results of patient surveys, medical KPIs – key indicators of hospital performance.

Also, in 2019, the Costa del Sol Hospital had already risen 39 places in the rankings nationwide conducted by the Health Reputation Monitor (MRS) carried out by Merco (Business Monitor of Corporate Reputation), featured in their sixth edition, where the hospital shot up to 61st in the rankings, after being at 100th in the list previously.

This was according to a reputational evaluation instrument based on a multistakeholder technology composed of six evaluations and twenty-five sources of information. It is the first audited in the world, since the monitoring and verification of its production process and results are subject to an independent review by KPMG, according to the ISAE 3000 standard, which publishes its opinion for each edition, as reported by 101tv.es.
