A GOLF club is the latest site to be booked out by ITV.
Abergele Golf Club, who are located near to Gwrych Castle, which is hosting I’m a Celeb 2020, confirmed they had reach an agreement with ITV.
As a result, the course will be closed to golfing visitors between Saturday, November 7 and Saturday, December 5.
A spokesperson for the golf club told the Journal: “We are delighted to confirm we have come to an agreement with ITV.
“During this time members will still be able to play as usual.
“We look forward to welcoming golfing visitors again before or after this time.”
No more details – on how the site will be used by ITV – have been released but it is speculated it will be used as an additional location for the popular reality show.
In the spirit of I’m A Celeb, the club is currently offering a round of golf to anyone with the same name as Ant or Dec.
The spokesperson added: “We have had an overwhelming response on social media, with lots of interest in the club and golf in general.
“People are really getting into the excited spirit of Abergele hosting this year’s I’m A Celeb – we just can’t wait to see the show.
“As far as I’m aware, we’re still yet to have a Dec come forward and play their free round but there is time yet.”
Manorafon farm, which is located near to the castle, has been given a role for I’m a Celeb – although what part they will play hasn’t been made clear.
The farm park is providing ITV ‘exclusive use’ of their site for the remainder of the 2020 season.
I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Is due to start in mid November.
The fire-break – starting in Wales on Friday, October 23 – is said to be of ‘no threat’ to filming.
An ITV spokesperson told the Journal: “I’m A Celebrity continues to adhere to all relevant guidelines as well as our own strict Covid protocols.”
