Faith Academy raises funds with golf tournament

Faith Academy recently held its 21st Annual Golf Tournament at Legendary Oaks Golf Course in Hempstead.

There were 34 teams of men and women who played this year, as well as donors and volunteers who helped make the tournament successful.

First place winners were awarded a custom belt buckle donated by Alan Jefferies and a cash prize of $600 donated by Patron Partners – Rick Figueroa. The winners were K-T Galvanizing: Al Peck, Timmy Mewis, EB Flores and Paul Kates.

Second place prize $400 donated by May Built – Taff and Jen Buck went to Tiffany Johnston Realtor, Coldwell Banker Properties: Jeff and Tiffany Johnston and Kory and Terrie McNeill. Third place prize of $300 donated by Lakeway Air Conditioning, Inc. – The Stegent family, went to Texas Farm Bureau Insurance – Chad Hugo, Richard Lyons, Brett Carter and Russell Bevan.

The putting contest was won by Braeden Riley; Closest to the Pin was won by John Mammond; Men’s Longest Drive was won by Andrew Hamilton; and the Women’s Longest Drive was won by Patricia Walters. The winner of the Titleist Golf Bag was George Gau.

The profit over $20,000 from the tournament will help pay the operating expenses at the school for the remainder of this calendar year.
