LPGA Tour and Epson have announced a five-year partnership to begin Epson’s exclusive sponsorship of the Official Qualifying Tour. As part of its 42nd year of organized play, the newly renamed Epson Tour, formerly the “Road to the LPGA,” will take on its most well-known appearance as the world’s most prestigious women’s qualifying tour. Through this global project, the LPGA and Epson brands will celebrate the spirit of competition among women.

As a result of this announcement, Epson joins the LPGA Tour and Epson Tour as an official partner. Currently, Epson will sponsor the Tour until the end of the calendar year 2026. On the Epson Tour, the top ten players on the Race for the Card money list will receive an LPGA Tour membership at the end of every season.

By focusing on the support and empowerment of all Epson Tour members during their stay on the Tour and beyond graduation to the LPGA, Epson and the LPGA have pledged to improve player experiences and events. In addition to meeting Epson’s aspirational goals of sustainability and enriching communities, the global network of each organization will reflect Epson’s commitment to diversity.

Starting in 2022, the Epson Tour Ambassador Program will award $10,000 to each of the 2021 Epson Tour graduates, allowing them to start their LPGA Tour careers right away. Furthermore, Epson is increasing the basic tournament prize pool from $100,000 to $200,000.

It has been fantastic to see Epson’s influence in the LPGA since the start of their partnership. Fatima Fernandez Cano, an Epson Tour graduate in 2020 and 2021 and the first Epson Tour Ambassador, says they aren’t just putting their names on the Epson Tour; they’re walking the walk and supporting women’s futures. I’m grateful to Epson for believing in me.  The kind of moments I experienced at Troy when I came here from Spain to play college golf were dreams come true. Epson will initially contribute funds to cut entrance fees for each participant by 10% per tournament, amounting to $1,000 per individual over the year, demonstrating Epson’s commitment to the advancement of talented female golfers. In the Epson Tour DEI Partnership, Epson and the LPGA challenged at least four other companies to join them in reducing entry fees for players on the Epson Tour from $500 to $250. Epson is providing pro-am teams and signage for participating organizations at each tournament on the Epson Tour.

Conclusion

On February 7, 2022, Epson Tour schedules will be released, but the season begins with Florida’s Natural Charity Classic in Winter Haven, Fla., on March 4-6. Epson will also become the title sponsor of the Epson Tour Championship, which will take place at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla., from Oct. 6-9.
